MOTHERS UNION

Christian care for families

ST MARTINS BRANCH

At St Martins we have 25 branch members and we meet monthly on a Tuesday Evening at 7.30pm (see calendar for dates and speakers). We offer you an invitation to come and join us at any of our meetings; you will be sure of a warm welcome.

The Mothers’ Union is an international charity whose vision is to bring about a world where God's love is shown through loving, respectful and flourishing relationships.

Men and women of all ages who are baptised and support its aims are welcome to join.

The organisation was founded over 130 years ago by Mary Sumner, who recognised a need to support new mothers. Today there are 4 million members in 81 countries – working in many different ways to meet the needs of families in their own time and place.

Together with members of our congregation we support projects undertaken locally, nationally and internationally by our members and workers.  Locally we donate knitted items to our local hospital for premature babies, Christmas gifts to hostels and goody bags for new students at Manchester University in September.

Our latest project was to Make a Mothers Day and we raised £110.00 which was used to support families both at home and abroad.
